EBAD seeks an accomplished professional for the position of Business Development Manager, reporting to the Director, Business Development.  The position is located in Simsbury, CT. 

Job Summary:

The Business Development Manager works to develop new business opportunities with customers, increasing sales for EBAD.  This position is in our growing Soldier Systems segment.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Principal duties and responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

  • Identifies, explores and captures new business with domestic military (PMCCS, TACOM, SOCOM, etc.), federal government (FBI, DoE, etc.) and other markets

  • Gain new business funding through the DOTC-NAC organizational process and structure

  • Promotes and increases sales through customer technical support, opportunity management, and direct product sales

  • Establishes new customer relationships while maintaining existing relationships

  • Direct customer interaction and presentations

  • Provides input to the company’s strategic planning process and recommends new business pursuits and/or possible expansion

  • Maintain a five-year revenue forecast for EBAD’s Soldier System segment.

  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills in order to function as the leader and as a member of proposal teams

  • Participate in trade shows


  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Marketing is preferred

  • Minimum of 8 years of related experience in a business development role in the DoD or related market.

  • Must have demonstrated the ability to develop new business

  • Must be willing to travel up to 50% of the time
