DisconnectsSeparation, in total control

The familiar sight of a strategic missile or space launch disconnecting from its boosters is only possible via its dynamic disconnect components. EBA&D disconnects are ideally designed to ensure reliable energetic transfer with controlled transfer interface geometry that provides for separation during a staging event.

Reliable by design

EBA&D disconnects are constructed primarily from 6061 aluminum alloy to meet stress corrosion requirements with a chemical conversion coating that provides a grounding path for static electricity. EBA&D disconnects satisfy the range safety requirements of EWR 127-1 which specifies the alignment for explosive charges for reliable detonation transfer. EBA&D disconnects are available in various configurations including cross-over block, piston-cylinder disconnect and explosively severed disconnect, for partially or fully confined explosive events based on mission need.
